Job Title: Instructor Clinical Applications Physicist

Minimum Requirements: A Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Medical Physics, Physics (or foreign equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Medical Physicist, Radiation Protection Supervisor, or a related occupation.
Job Duties: Educate new users on proprietary healthcare oncology software and hardware system products. Assist Varian and its customers in fully utilizing the complex functionality of the linear accelerator technology to meet their business needs. Conduct product training for customers and employees, in particular training for complex situations involving multiple products. Lead classroom lectures and laboratory sessions to ensure customers are trained to operate Varian equipment according to safety guidelines with the highest level of satisfaction. Prepare lesson plans based on standards and content documentation, engineering documentation, field service requirements, and software documentation to address customers’ specific implementation questions. Provide feedback to standards and content based on feedback from customers as well as the sales, product marketing, and technical support departments to ensure course material reflects current product features, and address customer inquiries including testing scenarios using Varian products. Work directly with Radiation Therapists, Dosimetrists, Physicist and Engineers in the training environment. 20% Domestics and International travel required.
Special Requirements: Must have experience and/or academic training with each of the following:
1. Oversee and implement Advance treatments such as IMRT and VMAT
2. Experience on treatment planning system and Linac commissioning
3. Linac Quality Assurance
4. Experience supervising radiotherapist clinical workflow
5. Collaborate and supervise the implementation of a new radiation oncology Clinic
Rate of Pay: $148,400/year
