A software-focused technical training instructor is needed to support multiple software products; however, this role will focus on adaptive treatment products (ETHOS). There is a high demand for technical training on adaptive solutions, and currently, the EDU organization is unable to deliver the training without a dedicated instructor for this complicated product. This role may also participate in content development.

Delivers technical product training, both onsite and virtual. Virtual delivery will be performed using various tools including vApps, web conferencing tools, and remote login applications. Participates in the development of product training curriculum and content that may use a variety of delivery methods including instructor-led courses, virtual, web-based or other learning solutions. Ensures that training courses address all levels of customers in the use of company products/services. May use web-based courseware or other online learning development tools/software to create interactive tutorials, course modules, certification materials, etc., that include simulation scenarios, progress checks and knowledge assessments. Facilitates testing and evaluation of training material with stakeholders for technical integrity. Works closely with developers and subject matter experts. Estimated domestic travel up to 50% (Las Vegas campus). Some international travel may be required.
 
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
•    Working knowledge of basic training methodologies.
•    Experience in technical training required (formal or informal/mentorship).
•    Course creation and instructional design experience is a plus.
•    Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•    Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
•    Experience in installing, maintaining, and servicing software products and MS-SQL databases on complex server-client systems is a plus.
•    Experience with vCloud applications is a plus.
•    Experience with Varian SW Products, especially ETHOS, is preferred.
•    Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of related experience.
  
The technical training specialist will deliver technical training content and participate in content creation. The focus of this role will be technical training of Varian SW Products.
