Apply now for the position of Controlling Specialist, the position is dedicated to the Enterprise Services (ES) business within Siemens Healthineers in the NAM region. Reporting directly to the Head of ES Finance, this role will focus on financial planning, reporting, analysis, and support for business decision-making. The position will collaborate closely with the ES leadership team, the broader NAM finance community, and key stakeholders across Siemens Healthineers.About the Enterprise Services (ES) Business
The ES business within Siemens Healthineers has experienced remarkable growth in recent years. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial infrastructure supports sustainable growth, fostering collaboration across stakeholders, and delivering innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs. The Controlling Professional will play a key role in shaping the financial future of this dynamic and expanding business.
This is a hybrid position in our Malvern, PA office.
Your Role:
- Business Performance Controlling Framework: Support the development and implementation of a Business Performance Controlling framework for ES, enhancing operational transparency and decision-making capabilities.
- Process Improvements: Drive process improvements to enable faster, more reliable insights into ES performance metrics.
- Integration of Financial Scopes: Contribute to the integration of financial scopes, including Block Imaging and Varian, to establish cohesive reporting and planning mechanisms.
Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Forecasting
- Monitor Performance: Track the financial performance of the ES business, focusing on key metrics such as Orders, Revenue, Gross Profit, SG&A, and Free Cash Flow.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead monthly analysis and periodic forecasting/budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with NAM requirements and business objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
- Financial Tools Development: Support the creation and enhancement of financial tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
Completion of Key Monthly Closing Activities:
- Analysis of key accounts and alignment with business stakeholders to determine any required booking of Journal Entries in ERP system (SAP P40).
- Ensure compliance with key controls related to closing processes and maintain required documentation to support these activities.
- Develop GL account analyses as part of monthly closing checks, to guarantee that we are in line and with the proper balances showing.
Business Support
- Trusted Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to the ES leadership team, offering guidance on financial performance, strategic initiatives, and process improvements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.
- Executive Summaries and Communication
- Deliver concise, impactful executive summaries tailored to C-level stakeholders, ensuring clear and actionable communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management and external partners, to drive alignment and decision-making.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Strategic Support: Work closely with the ES Head of Finance and senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and growth plans.
- Cross-Division Collaboration: Collaborate with other divisions, including DI, AT, Varian, and BPC, to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization.
Your Expertise:
Finance Operations
- Act as the backbone of the Finance organization, ensuring effective business steering by performing processes requiring a high level of discipline and efficiency.
Project Controlling Skills
- Project controlling skills will be considered a plus, since ES is mainly project driven by long-term contracts. Thus, overseeing financial aspects of projects, together with the Project Controlling team, will be a crucial part of the role.
Specialist Role
- Develop scalable analytical models that produce sound data-driven insights to support informed business decisions.
Finance Transformation Enabler
- Act as a change agent, leading Finance-related projects, promoting digitalization, and bridging communication between Finance Business Partners, and business units.
Executive Summaries and Communication
- Deliver concise, impactful executive summaries tailored to C-level stakeholders, ensuring clear and actionable communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management and external partners, to drive alignment and decision-making.
Required Skills, Education and Experience for this position:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related areas, preferably within a large multinational organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Excel); experience with automation and dashboard creation is an asset.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
