This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Engineering Technical Writer, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Writing and editing technical documentation for consumable materials, manufacturing processes and/or projects (work instructions, job aids, specifications, validations, etc.).
    Supporting our manufacturing network migration activities by working within the team to transfer equipment from one Domain to another in a validated environment.
  • Researching technical and engineering information, including drawings, design and test specifications, material prototypes, and interviews with subject matter experts.
    Consolidate and Upgrade Human Machine Interface (HMI) and SCADA applications to the latest supported platform.
  • Strengthening your technical writing skills by creating technical documentation such as validation documentation and technical reports.
  • Completing all phases of document development cycle, including project scope and requirements, documentation design, review, release, etc..

  • Managing new documentation and revised documentation through lifecycle and document management system
  • Reviewing established documentation and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
  • Developing technical and engineering documentation, including specifications (material, equipment, requirements) and Technical Reports that support a cGMP regulated environment.
  • Developing testing plans/protocols with input from technical experts.
  • Developing functional work instructions using a mixture of visuals and text to communicate to the document user.
  • Working within an electronic document change management system to manage document change control.
  • Contributing to development of standard documentation processes and styles.
  • Collaborating with supplier and service provider contacts on technical documentation requirements.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years developing technical documentation in a cGMP Manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Project and Visio)
  • Proficiency with applicable Adobe suite of products
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
