Position Title: Customer Service Engineer II
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Service Imaging Equipment for Magnetic Resonance (MR), including Ultra High Field MRs (7T or above) & Computed Tomography (CT) modalities. Perform mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) on customer site and remotely. Support customer remotely and onsite in case of arising issues. Coordinate and accomplish defined service operations and/or resolve product issues for customer’s equipment. Act as the “Face of Siemens” to the customer. Allows remote work and requires domestic and international travel approximately three to four times per year, mainly to Cary, North Carolina and Erlangen, Germany. Travel is required for specific training courses. Travel to Client sites throughout the Eastern region of the United States (NC, DE, MD, VA, WV, and Washington D.C.) also required.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and Five (5) years in the job offered or as an Service Technician, Industrial Electrician, or an acceptable alternate occupation. The employer will alternatively accept Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as an Service Technician, Industrial Electrician, or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires extensive experience with the following: Experience with Computed Tomography (CT) scanners; Experience with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners; Proficient knowledge of electrical test equipment; Ability to work independently and without supervision; Ability to read and understand documents pertaining to install, setup, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams, and functional description; and Experience establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers. Remote work permitted.
