This is an onsite position in our Issaquah, WA office.

Your Role: 

  • Review Hardware Design Reliability plans, provide Manufacturing Reliability Requirement inputs to the Design Hardware Reliability Engineer and incorporate outputs of Hardware Design Reliability into Manufacturing Reliability

  • Create Hardware Manufacturing Reliability Plans and Reports specific to Manufacturing Processes at suppliers, execute tests and document Reliability Reports. This will involve

    • component reliability risk assessments

    • determining and improving test coverage of PCB Assemblies, Modules and Systems

    • approving Manufacturing Control Plans and pFMEAs from suppliers

    • creating and executing Specific Failure Mode Tests (SFMT) from process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA) to minimize reliability risk of a processes’ effect on product quality and reliability

    • executing Highly Accelerated Life Tests (HALT)

    • characterize Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and monitor the KPIs with appropriate statistical methodologies

    • create plans for gated manufacturing builds from prototype though mass production

  • Engage with cross-functional partners in Purchasing, Hardware Design and Manufacturing to assess problems and risks, develop improvement opportunities, and support implementation of solutions.

  • Participate in Failure Analysis activities and Field Performance Monitoring

  • Lead PCB Assembly Process Engineering

  • Perform Reliability Product Quality Audits at suppliers and lead process improvement activities

Your Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical failure mechanism, ability to read electrical schematics is desirable.

  • Highly familiar with manufacturing processes and equipment is advantageous, especially in Surface Mount manufacturing lines

    • Be able to deep dive into how processes are designed, and the effects processes have on the products quality and reliability

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), PowerBI, Minitab, Python, Reliasoft, and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.

  • Work with our latest technology, necessitating your willingness to learn about new software and hardware solutions.

  • Guide the project team on all aspects of product quality and reliability

  • Your profile is rounded out by excellent presentation skills in customer and supplier environments, showcasing your team orientation, communication abilities, and customer focus.

Required Skills, Education and Experience for this position:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required.

  • Professional certifications, e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) are a plus.

  • Minimum of 6 - 8 years of reliability and manufacturing experience, medical device experience preferred.

  • Excellent engineering and analytical skills and good judgment in assessing how manufacturing processes effect product reliability, with confidence in resolving complex issues requiring management attention.

  • Leadership, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and works with minimal direct supervision to multitask and lead workload to timely completion.

  • Willing to travel, both national and international, up to 20%.

The pay range for this position is $133,900 - $200,900 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base pay range for this position is

Min $133,900 - Max $200,900
