Works cross-functionally to process requisitions for Captial and MRO materials/services to support business requirements. Performs data mining/analysis to identify opportunities for spend pooling, consolidation of sku's, and spend forecasting.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Work with functional area to create shopping carts for consumables and MRO supplies.
  • Create shopping carts, track approvals, follow up on delivery schedules, and resolve invoices issues.
  • Communicate frequently with suppliers to confirm and update status of orders, oversee/manage delivery schedules and navigate various internal and external processes to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrate ownership indirect procurement as you track material from the shopping carts/PO through delivery, receipt, and finally invoice/payment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve overall supplier, process, and business performance.
  • Analyze indirect spend data identifying consolidation, pooling, and pricing improvement opportunities.
  • Create spend detail reporting mechanism, perform trend analysis, and share with the functional areas monthly.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Utilize data to drive decisions, process improvements and action plans to manage, control indirect spend for the site.

  • You have SAP or similar ERP system experience.
  • You have a strong background in data analytics and data mining
  • Solid PC skills (MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI)
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with peers and management
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership when working independently as well as within teams
  • Able to influence the team and business to prioritize process improvements.

Required skills to have for the success of this role 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 4-6yrs of Supply Chain / Procurement experience
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
